DVD-RW, DVD writer, DVD burner, etc etc etc. There are a lot of names for the now humble DVD re-writer, and they all mean the same thing. A device that can read and write to both CD & DVD disks. Now this is where things can get a little tricky and complicated, mainly due to ill informed salespersons in large retail shops.
The fact is virtually all modern DVD writer will write to a variety of disks including CD-R & CD-RW, Minus DVD-R & DVD-RW, Plus DVD-R & DVD-RW, Dual Layer DVD+R DL & DVD-R DL. Some will write to DVD-RAM disks the ones we have in stock at the moment wont write DVD-RAM disks. This like everything else that has any connection to a computer will change soon.
