This is USB2.0 & Firewire external caddy is really flashy, no really it does have flashy lights on it. You can turn the lights down low, pop on some mood enhancing music, relax and allow the caddy provide subtle ambient light to the room. As well as working as ambient lighting it can also double up as an external caddy for CD/DVD Rom’s/ CD-DVD Writers or 3.5” Hard Drives. All you need to do is fit either your ROM or Hard Drive into the caddy, screw it securely, and close the caddy. Plug into USB or IEEE 1394 Firewire port and format if it’s a new Hard Drive. It uses its own power supply and plugs straight into a spare USB or Firewire connection. What could be simpler.
