ICY BOX 2.5" IB-281-U USB2.0 Portable HD Caddy

This Icy Box IB-281-U USB2.0 Hard Drive caddy has the potential to look like a hip flask, due to it being so slim. The grained leatherette front cover looks as though you should be pouring out a little nip for a cold crisp winter’s morn, or maybe sat beside a roaring open fire. Sadly nothing as romantic as that, it will however all you to store an awful lot of data, well depending on the size of the hard drive you put of course. It also has the USB connection cable built into the caddy itself, just under the flap at the top, so it’s self contained. One word of caution though, if people think it is a hip flask, before they try to refill your caddy, stop them in their tracks by saying in a firm voice “Can I point out, before you spill the 12 year old malt all over my Icy Box 2.5” USB2.0 hard drive caddy with built in USB cable, that it is in fact an Icy Box 2.5” USB2.0 hard drive caddy with built in USB cable, and not a hip flask, please stop, and pour the 12 year old malt into a more suitable receptacle please” All you need to do is fit your 2.5” Hard Drive into the caddy, screw it securely into the caddy, and close the caddy. Plug into USB port and format if it’s a new Hard Drive. As well as it being so small it doesn’t need any external power sources; it draws power from a USB port. It use’s USB two cables one for data transfer and the other for power, if you want to plug the caddy into an external USB hub we suggest using one with it’s own power supply. An unpowered USB hub may cause power issues with the PC. You can always of course just plug it into a USB connection on your PC and it will work no problems.
