All you need to do is fit your 2.5” Hard Drive into the caddy, screw it securely close the caddy. Plug into USB port and format if it’s a new Hard Drive. As well as it being so small it doesn’t need any external power sources; it draws power from a USB port. It use’s USB two cables one for data transfer and the other for power, if you want to plug the caddy into an external USB hub we suggest using one with it’s own power supply. An unpowered USB hub may cause power issues with the PC. You can always of course just plug it into a USB connection on your PC and it will work no problems.
